Rural Library Initiative
We believe that awareness is the key to social, cultural, and economic development in rural India. To support this vision, BUAGSS has established a free library service tailored specifically for rural communities.
Overview & Impact
This library represents a unique and unprecedented initiative designed to connect rural citizens directly with vital information, education, and literacy resources. Prior to its launch, no such platform or public resource existed to serve these critical community needs.
Current Operations & Support
The library is currently active and operating successfully in Chhandwal village. Thanks to the foundational contributions and collaborative efforts of the Deputy Director of Literacy & Alternative Education alongside local community members, the library now features an expansive and diverse collection of over 10,000 books covering a wide array of educational topics and academic subjects.

The organisational roadmap includes an intensive five-year development plan aimed at comprehensively upgrading the library's infrastructure, broadening its literary repository, and integrating modern educational technologies to better serve the evolving needs of the community.
