Overview
For the past nine years, the Barabanki Untouchability Abolition and General Social Service Society (BUAGSS) has worked closely with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Barabanki on the rehabilitation of children, with a particular focus on those who have been successfully reunified with their families.
Key Core Activities
To facilitate effective rehabilitation, several key activities are systematically implemented. These include conducting comprehensive home visits to assess the current status of reunified children, compiling detailed Social Investigation Reports (SIR), and designing tailored, long-term care plans to meet each child's individual needs.
The District Rehabilitation Support Forum
Established in March 2013, the District Rehabilitation Support Forum serves as a centralized framework in Barabanki. BUAGSS has proudly served as the leading partner since its inception. The forum was constituted with the vital assistance and collaboration of Railway Children India and Ehsaas Lucknow, and it operates under the direct guidance of the Child Welfare Committee. The strength of this platform is further augmented by the active participation and support of eight prominent non-governmental organizations (NGOs) across the district, creating a robust, collaborative network for child welfare.
