Water Source Conservation Initiative
The organisation runs an intensive water source conservation awareness campaign (Jal Srot Sanrakshan Karyakram), running special drives to clean and protect ponds, wells, waterbodies and riverbank ghats across the district in order to recharge groundwater and build public understanding of its importance. A water source conservation festival has been celebrated with villagers at around 12 large ponds and reservoirs across the district, organised with guidance from Lok Bharti.
Reviving dried ponds
In Masauli development block, the organisation has played a role in getting dried-up ponds re-excavated in the villages of Mubarakpur, Chhandwal and Hakami (Banikodar). In villages facing a growing drinking-water crisis from falling groundwater levels, a campaign is underway to turn them into "Panidar Gaon" (water-secure villages).
Barabanki Jal Biradari
For this campaign, the organisation's president was appointed convenor of the Barabanki Jal Biradari (Water Community) by Shri Rajendra Singh — internationally known as the "Waterman of India" and chairperson of the Rashtriya Barh Sukhad Jal Jan Aayog. With his support, large-scale public awareness work on water conservation is being carried out across Barabanki.
Jal Sakshartha Abhiyan (Water Literacy Campaign)
Rising population, shrinking water, declining agriculture, vanishing forests.
To raise public awareness of this problem, the organisation runs a dedicated Water Literacy Campaign (Jal Sakshartha Abhiyan). Efforts toward water and forest conservation continue in coordination with Dr. Arjun Pandey, convenor of the Amethi Jal Biradari, and Ratnesh Kumar, convenor of the Barabanki Jal Biradari and president of the organisation.
